Konstantinos Vyrsokinos received the B.Sc. degree in physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,Greece, and the Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, National Technical University of Athens, Greece. Currently, he is a Senior Research Associate at Informatics and Telematics Insitute participating in EU ICT-PLATON research project, designing silicon nanophotonic and plasmonics structures. His research interests include the design and simulation of integrated components and subsystems for high speed optical communication systems and radio over fiber subsystems as swell. He has authored or coauthored more than 35 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. He has been involved in EU IST-ePhoton/One, IST-ePhoton/One+, IST-MUFINS, IST-LASAGNE, ICT-BOOM and ICT-APACHE projects. He is also a recipient of a Marie Curie Fellowship.
